Education – Pole Dance Instructor

Step 1 : Evaluate your current level

(Test included in your Basic Module)

You come to the studio for a private appointment in order to check your personal Level before you start learning how to teach.
You need an already good level yourself before you can teach full classrooms and expect them to progress.
If your Level isn’t as advanced as a CPF Instructor Level, we will have to catch you up to it.

Step 2 : Get the Basics

Compulsory Modules

Basic Module

The basic module is a mandatory first part of the instructor program as a basis for all further modules and serves as a preparation for your own teaching.

It contains basic knowledge from the areas of pedagogy, physiology, muscle development and muscle stretching.

All further modules build on the contents of the basic module and can be completed individually or in combination, as desired.

Pole Fitness & Flexi Pole Module

Here the focus of the training is on teaching the anatomy of the human body, muscle development, stretching and fitness. The poles represent an element to be included in the training, the muscle parts that are needed for the figures on the pole are specifically trained.

This module is particularly suitable for customers who have done little or no sport for a long time and therefore need strength-building training, as well as for customers who are overweight or have slight disabilities.

Flexi Pole is essential for clients who have been less mobile and want to work on their flexibility. In this module, this affects the entire body: muscles, tendons and joints become more flexible and the entire body more limber through special movement and stretching exercises.

Step 3 : Choose your options

(each Module can be chosen separatly)

Modules to choose from:

Pole Dance Beginner Instructor

Learn how to start instructing beginner students, build their strength, coordination and self-confidence, no matter if they trained any kind of sport before or not.
In the Levels 1 -3, teach a range of basic grips, steps, figures and transitions appropriate to each level with movements on the floor and around the pole for the beginner students, increasing the level with their capabilities and start moves off the floor , such as basic inverts, climbs and figures.

Learn as well how to create various choreography for your classes, in order to teach rhythm and dancing as well to your students.

This is the main difference between Pole Dance and Pole Fitness

Pole Dance Intermediate Instructor

Building on the beginner level, the training for level 4-7 includes new spinning combos, instructions for inverted figures on the pole, grips with other body-parts such as hips and spine, inverted climbs and exercises that specifically train the necessary muscle groups for all those.

An important component here are the first safety methods for the student in their moves as well as spotting techniques in order to allow an injury-free training (spotting, handholds, mats and further safety instructions for the students).

Content of this module is also the teaching of the first safety measures of the students among themselves as well as the finding of an own pole style by means of creative design of the choreography.

Reaching the middle/end of the intermediate level, the students should have enough knowledge with their speed and moves as well as enough developed muscles to be able to start on a spinning pole.

Pole Dance Advanced Instructor

The focus in the advanced module is on new, very demanding acrobatic figures, combos and transitions, requesting well developed muscles form the previous levels, an excellent sense of balance as well as well trained flexibility and a certain endurance.

The students are being requested to create their own figures and combos by experimenting with a spotting partner. They also require guidance to build their own routines.
Learn how to safely instruct and spot your students for those moves.

Pole Dance Performer Instructor

Being able to do tricks and having strength is not enough to be a good performer.
You will need stage presence, timing, elegance and a good sense for drama.
It starts a good original choreography, with the adapted costume and props, all of them following the story that you are displaying on stage.

A careful planning and a strong visual makes the difference between an amateur and a professional performer.

You also still need to be able to improvise, because anything can happen backstage but the public should not be aware of any problem during a performance.
Finally, you need to learn how to present yourself, how to sell your performance and be reliable on a contract.

We will teach you marketing, invoicing and other useful skills as well.

Pole Dance for Children Instructor

Fun in movement is the first priority here, but also the coordination skills and agility of the children should be trained extensively. By slowly increasing their self-confidence, the children learn that they can develop through practice and diligence.

As a first introduction to circus acrobatics, this module increases the children’s body awareness without sacrificing important safety rules.

Pole Dance Studio Owner & Manager

If you’re going to open your own studio, there are divers extra skills that you need to develop:

  • Administration & taxes
  • Customer service
  • Marketing & advertising
  • Studio management

This module is here to help you through the different steps and prepare you to open your own company.
